LING KUAN GORGE 

The snow already more than half a foot deep, obliterated the line between earth and sky behind a hazy white curtain. I had been following the faith of the future railway for forty kilometers. Althouhj i could hear the roar of machinery further back in the hills, i had seen neither work sites nor workers.
Entering Lingkuan Gorge, my irritation increased Even in clear weather, in this gorge the sun never shone. it did not matter where you looked up along the twisting course the most you could see of the sky was a patch no bigger than the plam of your hand. Now it was dusk, and the swirling snowflakes and the gale made every step a struggle.

 Construction in the Gorge was very busy

Everywhere people were at work. Generators, cement mixers, air compressors shook the ground. hundreds of light bulbs gleamed dim and yellow.
Electric wires, crisscrossing like a giant spider web were scarcely visible but i could see the overhead cables and their pulley cars sliding back and forth loaded with materials. Hungry, cold, i tripped and fell scraping my hands.
Enough , i would find some place under a cliff, out of the wind, and rest a few hours. If i reached the materials depot tomorrow morning by 10 O ' clock , that still would not be too late.

Q1. Who does Dr.King refer to by the epithet "Great American " ?

Ans. He refer to the great leader of Negros in America. 
After reading the first paragraph, can you guess what the emancipation proclamation might mean ?
Ans. The Emancipation proclamation means the declaration of independence of bank people in America. This proclamation gave equal right to Negro's in America.
Q ) how does king describe the life of the Negro in the us one hundred year after the emancipation proclamation ?
Ans, One Hundred year after this proclamation Negros are still facing hardships. Their life is still crippled in the shackles of segregation and discrimination. they are leading the life of exile in their own country.

Q Why is 1963, according to Dr king, not an end but beginning ? A beginning of what ? 

ans, He spoke to Negros in 1963. according to him as Negros are still deprived of their due rights, so the struggle for freedom will continue. there will be no peace in America until Negro's are granted citizenship rights. 
Q what is Dr king advice to the black people while marching on the road to freedom ?
ans, According to Dr, king Negro will never be satisfied until they are the victim of police brutality.
they will not be satisfied until they find lodging in big city hotels. they will not satisfied until they are given right to vote.

Dr, King repeatedly speak of his dream   

ans,  According to Dr, King he had a dream that a day will come that their children will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. A day will come when there white and black children will join hands and walk together like brothers and sisters.

Hope and Aspiration

Five score Year ago , a great american, in whole symbolic shadow we stand, signed the Emancipation proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of nrgro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. it came as a joyous day break to end the long night of captivity.

But one hundred Year Later

We must face the tragic fact that the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination, one hundred year later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity.

One Hundred Year Later   

The negro is still languished in the corners of American society ad finds himself an exile in his own land. So we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition.
In a sense we have come to our nation's Capital to cash a cheque, when the architecture of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they where signing a promissory note to wish every American was fall this note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
It is obvious today that American has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of  color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, American has given the Negro People a bad cheque: a cheque which has come back marked, insufficient funds , but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt.

Ans , God asked the little blades of grass that what they did in their lives. and they began to narrate their deeds one by one in boastful way.

2. What does the little blades of grass say when it is addressed by God ? 

Ans. The little blades od grass answered that he did not know bout his good actions. His way of response was full of humbleness and thus God was moved by his answer.

3. Why does the poet use blades of grass to communicate such a fundamental Idea ?

Ans . Giving Human Qualities to nonliving things is called personification the poet uses blades of grass to communicate his idea because he wants to convey his message in an effective and moving manner. He wants to tell human / man to know that even a small blades of grass knows to respond and show humbleness before God.
